Benefits of Triple Glazing
Why Upgrade Your Surrey Home?
- Significant Energy Savings: Triple glazing delivers superior thermal efficiency compared to standard double glazing, achieving ultra-low U-values. This design locks in heat, helping to lower your heating bills and keep your home comfortable, from the exposed North Downs to the Thames Basin.
- Superior Noise Reduction: Enjoy a peaceful sanctuary by reducing external noise by up to 40dB with acoustic glass. Whether you are located near the M25, the busy A3 corridor, or under the flight paths of Heathrow and Gatwick, our acoustic glass significantly dampens noise for a quieter living environment.
- Enhanced Security: With a third pane of toughened glass and robust internal beading, our units act as a formidable deterrent against intruders. This extra layer of defence provides peace of mind that your home and family are well-protected in Surrey’s towns and villages.
- Condensation Control: Advanced insulation minimizes the “cold spot” effect on the internal pane, virtually eliminating condensation. This helps protect your property’s interior decor and reduces the risk of damp or mould developing on window sills—essential for preserving older or listed properties.
- Weather Resistance: Our triple-glazed units are engineered to withstand the elements, ensuring your home stays draught-free and watertight, helping you tackle the changing British weather with ease.
- Increased Property Value: Upgrading your home’s EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating is a smart investment. High-performance windows make your property more attractive to future buyers in Surrey’s high-value property market.
Keep your Surrey home Cooler and Warmer
u-Values - Thermal Performance
Not all triple glazing is the same. For maximum efficiency, the gap between the panes is just as important as the glass itself.
The Gold Standard: 44mm Units
Our premium option uses a massive 44mm sealed unit. This allows for two optimum 16mm cavities filled with Argon gas. This specification fits perfectly into our Sheerline Prestige, Residence 9, and Residence 7 systems, delivering centre-pane U-values as low as 0.5 W/m²K.
The Slimline Option: 28mm Units
Some window profiles cannot accept a 44mm unit. For these, we offer a 28mm triple glazed unit using Krypton gas. Krypton performs better in smaller gaps than Argon, allowing us to achieve excellent thermal performance (U-value 0.60) even in a slimmer profile. Beware this comes with a hefty price tag.

Improved security over double glazed windows, due to the extra pane of toughened glass. Internally glazed windows offer added security and prevents the removal of the glass from the outside.
Sound Insulation
There is no major gain having triple glazing with three equal thicknesses of glass. The best solution would be with a thicker centre pane, please enquire for further information.
Heat Insulation
44mm sealed units filled with two 16mm cavities of argon gas. Argon gas is heavier than air, so acts as an insulator
Prevent Cold-Bridging
Warm edge spacer bars made from a composite material to stop the cold-bridge across the unit.
Low-emissivity Glass
Two coatings of low-emissivity glass (Low E). This is a microscopically thin coating that stops the heat from your house going outside.
Plenty of Options
Available in the Sheerline Prestige, Residence 9 and Residence 7 systems as a 44mm unit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will triple glazing effectively reduce noise from the M25 and flight paths?
Yes, this is a priority for many Surrey homeowners, particularly those in Woking, Egham, or near the M25 corridor. Our triple glazing can be fitted with acoustic laminated glass, which is designed to disrupt sound waves. This reduces external noise by up to 40dB, making a significant difference if you live under the Heathrow or Gatwick flight paths or near busy arterial roads.
Can I install triple glazing in a Surrey Conservation Area?
Yes, but the design is crucial. Surrey is home to many Conservation Areas, such as those in Farnham, Dorking, and Godalming. We offer specialist “heritage” triple glazing, including flush sash windows and timber-effect finishes. These are designed to replicate the traditional appearance of period properties, allowing you to improve energy efficiency without altering the historic character of your home.
Is triple glazing a good investment for Surrey properties?
Absolutely. Surrey has some of the highest property values in the UK outside of London. Installing high-performance triple glazing improves your home’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating, which is increasingly important to buyers. It not only lowers your heating bills immediately but also adds long-term value and desirability to your home in a competitive market.
Do I need planning permission to replace my windows in Surrey?
For most unlisted homes in towns like Camberley, Epsom, or Redhill, window replacement is considered “Permitted Development” and does not require planning permission. However, if your property is a Listed Building or located in a Conservation Area, restrictions will apply. We recommend checking with your local borough council (e.g., Waverley, Elmbridge, or Guildford), and our team is always happy to offer guidance.
How does triple glazing prevent condensation?
Condensation forms when warm, moist air meets a cold surface. Triple glazing solves this by using two gas-filled cavities to insulate the inner pane of glass, keeping it much closer to the internal room temperature. This eliminates the “cold spot” found on double glazing, preventing moisture from settling and protecting your window sills and decor from damp and mould.
