KJM reports 13% Q1 Growth 2016

Hampshire installer and home improvement specialist KJM Group has reported significant growth in the first half of this year following on from its record year last year.

Having reported turnover of £3.9m for the 2015/16 financial year, the Hampshire based retailer has reported that its 13 per cent up on its Q1 performance this year.

The window, door and conservatory specialist said that growth was driven by homeowner specification of higher-end premium finish and performance products.

Managing Director, Mark Pearce, said: “We offer a wide range of products from your entry level energy efficient windows and doors through to triple glazed windows and glazed home extensions.

“In the last six months, while we’re continuing to sell a lot of windows and doors across the board we’re seeing home owners specify foiled woodgrain-effect PVC-U products, aluminium bi-folding doors and premium composite door ranges.”

Now employing over 30 people including 10 fitting teams and one service engineer, this follows specific focus by the national home improvement G15 Awards Installer of the Year finalist, to build its range of heritage products.

This has included the addition of the Beaumont range from Dempsey Dyer and Residence 9 from Glazerite and Styleline from Sternfenster, to meet new consumer demand for flush casement and traditionally jointed windows in a low maintenance PVC-U window.

Mark continued: “The manual jointing used in Beaumont and Residence 9 ranges give the product a really strong traditional-timber aesthetic in a PVC-U window.

“What you’re getting as the end-user are all the benefits of PVC-U – low maintenance and energy efficiency – alongside a traditional timber aesthetic. This is driving a steady growth in but notably among owners of character and period properties.”

In addition to Beaumont and Residence 9, KJM also caries Veka and Profile 22 uPVC window systems, wooden windows and doors, including vertical sliding and flush casement windows from Dempsey Dyer and aluminium products from Smart and Sapa.
