Our return to work strategy

Revised Opening hours  Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm - Saturday to 2.00pm - Sundays Closed

We would advise that showroom visits are made by appointment please, especially during the week as there are more office staff in. It would also be advisable to also make an appointment on Saturday, as you could have to wait to see a sales-person, or for the previous customer to leave. Although we dont mind families coming in, we would ask that we maintain the correct distancing at all times.

Current economic climate

It seems highly likely that social distancing will remain in place, certainly for the medium to long term, so as a business we have implemented a safe return to work plan.

In restarting we have ensured we can work to government guidance, and, in turn, support the UK economy. This means that much of the Government workplace guidance will also remain in place for a significant time to come. 

All of KJM's supply chain is open, although some are currently with a much reduced capacity. Demand is currently very high and the supply chain could best be described as weak. I would ask all customers to "bear with us" over the coming weeks and its looks as though it could take many months for things to return to normal.

So what can we currently do for our customers?

We have pretty much returned to normal, we are currently receiving a very high number of quote requests and orders. We have a small number of staff that have not returned to work due to childcare issues. So please bear with us as some things are taking a little longer than usual. 

  • House calls for quotes/surveys are operating as normal
  • Trade supply only for windows and doors from the majority of our range (please note lead times are currently much longer than normal)
  • Service calls
  • Online quotations via email
  • Online quotations through the use of modern technology like video calls
  • Installations are at 100% capacity.

Our glass federation - The GGF (Glass and Glazing Federation) have also produced a Safety Guidance for Homeowners.

We would insist that both documents are read and that you accept the terms before allowing us into your home
